Carousell

– konst film konst –

Carousell är ett kollektivt, undersökande projekt i skärningspunkten mellan konst och film. Ett projekt där fyra videokonstnärer utbyter videomaterial med varandra i en cirkulär rörelse. Tanken är att på samma gång avstå och tillgodogöra sig upphovsmannaskap samt att hitta och utveckla en metod för att närma sig frågor om:

konstnärlig äganderätt

konstnärens integritet i relation till publikens förväntningar

kreativitet och innehåll

Under utställningsperioden kommer Skånes konstförening att förvandlas till en konstbiograf med en visningsform som utvecklats speciellt med hänsyn till rummets kvalitéer och egenskaper.

Carousells projektet har tidigare ställts ut på Rum46 i Århus, Nässjö Konsthall och Ateljé Nord i Oslo. Materialet i Carousell omarbetas inför varje utställning och utvecklas till olika visningsformer. Mer information på http://www.carousell.org/index.html

Carousell is a collective, investigative project in the intersection between art and film. A project where four videoartists exchange videomaterial in a circular movement. The idea is to reject authorship at the same time as it is embraced. The artists has together set out to find and develop a method to approach questions such as:

artistic ownership

the artists integrity in relation to expactations from potential audiences

creativity and content

During the exhibition period Skånes Konstförening will be transformed to a videoart cinema developed with special consideration to the spatial dynamics.

Carousells earlier projects have been exhibited at Rum46 in Århus, Nässjö Konsthall and Atelier Nord in Oslo. The material in Carousell is rethought and reworked before each exhibition and the shape of presentation is shifting and changing in relation to the specific spatial conditions.
