From documentary to video and performance, Roxy has used her work to explore themes of anti-racism, intersectional feminism, and community engagement.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>September 15\u2013November 7<\/strong>, participants will have the chance to work with Roxy to develop their creative vision and technical skills.<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this residency, we want to encourage <strong>new creators<\/strong> and people who might not have made art before. While all are welcome to apply, we hope to create a space especially for <strong>creative queer people of color in Malm\u00f6<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will select up to <strong>5 participants <\/strong>for this <strong>8-week residency<\/strong>. Each participant will create a video artwork based on the prompt: <strong>future &#038; power<\/strong>. (Explore it however you want!) Participants will use their own smartphones for filming and editing.<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The resulting <strong>video artworks <\/strong>will be <strong>exhibited<\/strong> in a group exhibition at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening in November\u2014alongside the works of Malm\u00f6-based established artists! What do you <\/em><strong><em>want<\/em><\/strong><em> them to be? What <\/em><strong><em>could<\/em><\/strong><em> they be?<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>How do you feel about power and the future <\/em><strong><em>right now<\/em><\/strong><em>?&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This prompt is just a starting point for wherever you want to take your work. It\u2019s not about making a literal narrative, place, or time. Some of you might want to explore feelings. Others might focus more on imagined places. Or maybe your approach is totally different! There\u2019s no right or wrong way. We\u2019re here to help you form your vision, support your creative process, and develop your skills.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Accessibility &#038; COVID-19 measures<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We care about your health and safety, as well as your artistic growth! Participants can choose to work 100% remotely, but we will also set up a dedicated work room at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening. This room will be available during working hours. If needed, the elevator entrance is just a few meters to the left of the main entrance.<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will continue to follow all recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkh\u00e4lsomyndigheten). If closure is recommended, then we will proceed 100% remotely.
