\nAs a part of our ongoing exhibition “Behind the Same Fa\u00e7ades” the artists Kajsa Dahlberg and Gritt-Uldall-Jessen invite you to take part in a collective reading of a reworked edition of the manuscript “In Godot’s Waiting Room”, taking place at The Trampoline House in Copenhagen. The artists have reworked the manuscript together with a group of people from The Trampoline House. The reworked manuscript depart from experiences of waiting related to the process of seeking asylumn. Often the temporary state of seeking asylumn becomes a cronic state of waiting.<\/p>\n

The collective reading of the manuscript is a part of the 6th year celebration of The Trampoline House, taking place on the 2nd of june, 2017.<\/p>\n

The work combines two stories that both relate to Samuel Beckett\u2019s famous play \u201cWaiting for Godot\u201d. The first story is a play that combines text taken from Beckett\u2019s original manuscript with texts from a diary written by women starting a squat in Ume\u00e5 in 1983. On display at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening is a poster originally used during the squat and video of a reading of Dahlberg and Gritt Uldall-Jessen\u2019s text in Ume\u00e5 2011 \u2013 when Charlotte Nordenfors, Gunilla Nordenfors, Kerstin Norlander (who all participated in the occupation in 1983) plus the artists themselves and artist Malin Arnell presented the text at Norrlandsoperan (The Ume\u00e5 Opera House).<\/p>\n

Som en del av v\u00e5r p\u00e5g\u00e5ende utst\u00e4llning “Behind the Same Fa\u00e7ades” genomf\u00f6r konstn\u00e4rerna Kajsa Dahlberg och Gritt Uldall-Jessen en kollektiv l\u00e4sning av manuset \u201dI Godot\u2019s v\u00e4ntrum\u201d i en omarbetad version, p\u00e5 Trampolinhuset i K\u00f6penhamn. Konstn\u00e4rerna har tillsammans med en arbetsgrupp best\u00e5ende av personer fr\u00e5n Trampolinhuset som befinner sig i asylprocesser arbetat med manuset i relation till fr\u00e5gor om och erfarenheter av v\u00e4ntan. Inte s\u00e4llan inneb\u00e4r asylprocesser, t\u00e4nkta som tillf\u00e4lliga l\u00f6sningar, ist\u00e4llet kroniska tillst\u00e5nd av v\u00e4ntan p\u00e5 att f\u00e5 bygga en ny tillvaro.<\/p>\n
