The Speaking hand<\/i><\/b>.<\/b> Sarah Browne presenterar en performativ f\u00f6rel\u00e4sning som relaterar till filmen <\/span>The Invisible Limb, <\/span><\/i>som st\u00e4lls ut i <\/span>Mens et Manus<\/span><\/i>. Det handlar om taktil kunskap. Det handlar om h\u00e4nder, och om hur den kunskap de besitter \u2013 \u00a0deras intelligens \u2013 tenderar att vara tyst. Genom att ge r\u00f6st \u00e5t andra konstn\u00e4rer (som Yvonne Rainer, Mierle Laderman Ukeles och Charlotte Posenenske), med hj\u00e4lp av citat och upprepningar, unders\u00f6ker performancef\u00f6rel\u00e4sningen det feministiska buktaleriet som en form f\u00f6r kunskapsf\u00f6rmedling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Danielski & Rittowski<\/b> bjuder p\u00e5 en eklektisk ljudresa genom den analoga modul\u00e4rv\u00e4rlden. En uppt\u00e4cksresa d\u00e4r patchkablar med kontroll, volt och triggpulser sammankopplar modul\u00e4rsystem till maskiner f\u00f6r audiell utforskning. H\u00e4r skapas klanger och rytmer som f\u00e5r bortgl\u00f6mda muskler att b\u00f6rja rycka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarah Browne<\/b> \u00e4r konstn\u00e4r verksam p\u00e5 Irland. Hennes forskningsbaserade metoder unders\u00f6ker kunskapens materialitet, s\u00e5 som den framst\u00e5r genom osynliga maktstrukturer som m\u00f6ter kroppslig erfarenhet. Browne arbetar med video, text, publicering och performance \u2013 s\u00e5v\u00e4l i som utanf\u00f6r en traditionell konstkontext.

Peter K\u00e4derg\u00e5rds <\/b>praktik omfattar installation, video och collage. Han \u00e4r verksam i Helsingborg och i G\u00f6teborg. K\u00e4derg\u00e5rd arbetar med upplevelser av v\u00e4sterl\u00e4ndsk popul\u00e4rkultur; och hur fantasi och identitetsskapande ompr\u00f6vas genom alternativa rekonstruktioner av dito. Hans konst befinner sig ofta p\u00e5 gr\u00e4nsen mellan det icke-fungerande och det fullst\u00e4ndiga misslyckandet. K\u00e4derg\u00e5rds collage-baserade metod resulterar inte s\u00e4llan i kinetiska skulpturer: r\u00f6rliga, ljudande och mekaniska objekt som tillsammans utg\u00f6r en surrealistisk bildv\u00e4rld d\u00e4r low tech blir till high tech och vice versa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday May 28th two of the artists participating in <\/b>Mens et Manus<\/a><\/i><\/b> will be performing at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Speaking hand.<\/i><\/b> Sarah Browne will present a performative lecture referring to her work in the exhibition, <\/span>The Invisible Limb<\/span><\/i>, and the labour of communicating tactile knowledge. This lecture departs from the premise that hands and the knowledge they possess, the intelligence that they practice, tend to be silent. Giving voice through processes of quotation and repetition (of other artists such as Yvonne Rainer, Mierle Laderman Ukeles and Charlotte Posenenske) the lecture will explore a process of feminist ventriloquism as a form of knowledge transmission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Danielski & Rittowski<\/b> invites us to an eclectic sound journey through the analog modular world. A journey of discovery where patch cables, control voltage and triggering pulses interconnects modular systems in an auditory exploration. Danielski & Rittowski creates sounds and rhythms that get forgotten muscles to twitch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarah Browne<\/b> is an artist based in Ireland. Her research-based practice investigates the materiality of knowledge, attending to the intersection of invisible structures of power with bodily experience. This sculptural practice includes writing, publishing, performance and public projects, encountered both within and outside gallery environments, as well as extensive collaboration.

Peter K\u00e4derg\u00e5rd<\/b> works with mixed media installation, video and collage. He is based in Helsingborg and Gothenburg. K\u00e4derg\u00e5rd works with the experiences of Western popular culture; and how imagination can be reconsidered though its reconstruction. K\u00e4derg\u00e5rd’s art often lingers between the non-functioning and complete failure. His collage-based method often results in kinetic art: moving, reverberating, mechanical sculptures, which together constitute a surreal imagery, turning low tech into high tech and vice versa.<\/span><\/p>\n
