I en tid n\u00e4r Europas och \u00f6vriga v\u00e4rldens geopolitiska tillst\u00e5nd tvingar m\u00e4nniskor p\u00e5 flykt, till exil. I en tid n\u00e4r spr\u00e5kliga f\u00f6rskjutningar m\u00e4rker kroppar ser vi det som viktigt att gemensamt n\u00e4rma oss fr\u00e5gor om och erfarenheter av exil. Tillsammans med Exilfilmfestivalen f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker vi d\u00e4rf\u00f6r pluralisera f\u00f6rst\u00e5elsen och definitionen av begreppet exil genom att presentera 13 kortfilmer som p\u00e5 olika s\u00e4tt relaterar till och unders\u00f6ker fr\u00e5gor om exil. Det r\u00f6r sig om alltifr\u00e5n dokument\u00e4ra filmer som utifr\u00e5n personliga upplevelser n\u00e4rmar sig exilen till fiktion och renodlade konstfilmer.<\/div>\n

Om Exilfilmfestivalen:<\/div>\n

Exilfilmfestivalen i Malm\u00f6 \u00e4r ett samarbete mellan ISS (Iransk-Svenska Solidaritetsf\u00f6reningen) och International Exile Filmfestival i G\u00f6teborg. B\u00e5da \u00e4r icke-vinstdrivande organisationer. Syftet \u00e4r att ge \u00d6resundsregionen (Malm\u00f6-K\u00f6penhamn) en egen version av Exil Filmfestival. Projektet drivs med St\u00f6d fr\u00e5n ABF och Malm\u00f6 Stads Kulturn\u00e4mnd.<\/div>\n

Filmer som visas p\u00e5 festivalen \u00e4r antingen skapade av filmare i exil, filmer som \u00e4r bannlysta i l\u00e4nder d\u00e4r de har producerats, filmer som ber\u00f6r temat exil eller filmer som handskas med aktuella obekv\u00e4ma fr\u00e5gor.<\/div>\n

Syftet med Festivalen \u00e4r att skapa en l\u00e4nk mellan publik och exilfilmare och konstn\u00e4rer samt att ge dessa en m\u00f6jlighet att hitta en ny plattform och en ny publik. Vidare syftar festivalen till att skapa f\u00f6rst\u00e5else om vad exil, f\u00f6rtryck och exkludering inneb\u00e4r.<\/div>\n

Den f\u00f6rsta Exilfilmfestivalen i Malm\u00f6 \u00e4gde rum 2013 och fick bra kritik av publiken och media. V\u00e5ra g\u00e4stregiss\u00f6rer Sahra Karimi och Arash Riahi intervjuades av dagstidningar och internationella TV-stationer.<\/div>\n

Exilfilmfestivalen i Malm\u00f6 2016 \u201dBorderless Minds\u201d kommer att h\u00e5llas 9-14 februari p\u00e5 biograf Panora. Under tre dagar kommer det att visas filmer, konstutst\u00e4llningar, fr\u00e5gestunder och workshops p\u00e5 olika scener runt om i Malm\u00f6.<\/div>\n

In a time when europes as well as the rest of the worlds geopolitical state forces poeople to flee, to exile. In a time when linguistic displacements marks bodies – in this time we believe in the importance to commonly approach questions and experiences related to exile, mediated through film and art. Together with Exilfilmfestivalen we aim to pluralize the understandment and definition of the word exile by presenting 13 short films that in different ways relate to and investigate exile. These films include everything from documentary films with personal experiences as point of departure to fiction and art films.<\/div>\n

About Exilfilmfestivalen:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Exilfilmfestivalen Malm\u00f6 is a collaboration between ISS (Iranian-Swedish solidarity Association) and International Exile film Festival in Gothenburg which both are non-profit organizations. The goal is to give the \u00d6resund region (Copenhagen, Malm\u00f6) its own adaptation of The Exile Film Festival. The project is funded by Malm\u00f6 city Culture council.<\/div>\n

The films screened in the festival are either made by filmmakers in exile, films that are banned in the countries where they were produced, films on the theme of exile and films treating uncomfortable current subjects.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The goal of the festival is to be a link between the audience and exile filmmakers and artists, to give these artists the opportunity to find a new platform and new audience and raise an understanding among the audience of what, exile, oppression and exclusion can mean.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The first \u201cExilfilmfestivalen Malm\u00f6\u201d was held in 2013 and was well received by the media and the audience, and our guest directors Sahra Karimi and Arash Riahi where intertwined by Swedish morning papers and national TV.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The 2016 \u201cExilfilmfestivalen Malm\u00f6\u201d \u201cborderless Minds\u201d will be held between the 9th-14th of February in the newly opened Panora Cinema in Malm\u00f6.
